Emily was busy today. We had visits from the home nurse and the consultant from the First Steps Program. The nurse said she was looking good and is up to 5lbs 15oz now. First Steps offers in home coordinated services and assistance to children and families with unique circumstances. Emily qualifies due to her low birth weight and being a preemie. We had an initial assessment today and will be putting together goals for Emily during the next visit.
We also took our first walk today!! Emily got to experience barking dogs, school buses, kids on skateboards, walking neighbors, and motorcycles. She slept during most of the walk. :-) We rounded out the day by playing in her activity gym. She seems to love it!
